On Tuesday 26th September, the children took part in a whole school music workshop, led by ‘Rock Steady’ who are a rock and pop music service. Will introduced the children to the electric guitar, base guitar, electric drums and keyboard, as well as discussing the importance of vocals in a rock band. The children listened to each instrument, clapped along to follow the rhythm of different songs and even sang along to a number of different pop/rock songs.
At the end of the session, Mrs Dunn, Mrs Wimbury and Mr Everson were invited to join the Rock Steady band for the final performance.
This was such a fantastic opportunity for the children, who all took part with enthusiasm, respect and enjoyment!
