Our School Office Staff are here to help you, however here are a few items that may be useful to parents and carers which you can view or download from our website.
Communication with Parents
We communicate with parents in several ways. Regular newsletters give details of school life and activities. Newsletters are sent out via email and they are also uploaded on to our school website. We use a text messaging system to send quick messages to the first priority contact. Class Teachers use Tapestry (Reception Class) and SeeSaw (Years 1-6) to communicate with Parents.

Parking
We experience great difficulties with regard to congestion in the roads surrounding the school. We are faced with both safety issues and conflict with local residents. Parents travelling by car are reminded to take great care approaching the school, particularly when dropping and collecting children. The entrance to Staintondale is marked with double yellow lines. Please do not park too near as this can restrict the children’s view when crossing the road. Parents are requested to drive further along Staintondale, where there are no houses overlooking the road, to drop their children off. Further information is available in the School Prospectus.
Medication at School
We have a highly structured policy for administering medicines at school as a result of advice from the Local Authority. Medication prescribed by the doctor for 3 or more times daily will be administered in school, when possible, provided an ‘Administration of Medication’ form is completed. (See Downloadable Forms below). The medication should be handed to the Office, together with a medication form, which must be completed. The form should include detailed instructions with regard to the quantity and frequency of dosage. Further information is available in the School Prospectus.
Head Lice
We have provided an information leaflet to help parents and carers identify and deal with Head lice. Please view or download by clicking the link below:

- illness
- medical or dental treatment
- school generated absence (e.g. educational visit/sporting activity)
- receiving part-time education elsewhere during school time
- exclusion from school for disciplinary reasons
- other circumstances authorised by the Head Teacher
All other absences All other absences from school, for whatever reason, are therefore unauthorised and unlawful and may result in a referral to the Attendance Improvement Team. We have provided further information regarding our approach to School Holidays during term time.
