On Tuesday 2nd November, Katie from the DogsTrust in Sadberge visited our school.
Katie delivered a whole school assembly talking to the children about how they should deal with dogs in different scenarios, when outside the home. The children were surprised to hear that dogs experience feelings just like humans!
Throughout the day, Katie delivered class workshops with her friend ‘Marshall’ the stuffed dalmatian. The workshops involved discussions about correct ways of approaching and stroking dogs and also the importance of giving pets a quiet place of their own.
We learnt lots of valuable information about how to care for dogs and why it is important to always consider their feelings.
Thank you Katie! We look forward to welcoming DogsTrust back to our school in the near future.
